Ficus deltoidea is an evergreen shrub or small tree that can grow up to 23 feet (7 m) tall. It has a spreading, rounded growth habit and is sometimes epiphytic (growing on other plants or trees). The plant has leathery, alternate, oval or deltoid leaves with pointed tips and a slightly rough texture. One of the distinctive features of Ficus deltoidea is its fruit, which resembles a mistletoe berry. The small, round fruits are green at first and turn orange or red when ripe. These fruits are often eaten fresh or used in traditional treatments.
